UTILITY RATE HIKE TOWN HALL

PROBLEM: Eversource and Liberty Utilities were approved for huge price increases starting in August 2022. This is largely related to the high price of fracked methane gas ("natural gas"). This increase is not because of climate activists shutting down fossil fuels - it is because of our overreliance on fracked gas in the Northeast, our inability to build more solar and wind energy, and policy that does not protect people from extreme rate hikes.

NOW WHAT?

We will come together to discuss how this happened, what resources exist for folks unable to afford this rate increase, and what we can do next to fight these cost increases.

When: October 27, Doors open at 5:30pm, Speaking program starts at 6:00pm

Where: McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, 2 Institute Dr, Concord NH or there is an option to participate on Zoom.

We invite you to bring your utility bill and share with us how much you're overpaying. We will have snacks and resources to share.

Six community members will speak about the impacts of our Utility Bill Increases, and resources will be available to help you navigate payment support. We hope you will leave this event a little less stressed - and knowing how you can get involved to stop this kind of increase from happening again. RSVP at the form below so we know to expect you!

If you can't make it in person, there will be an option to join via zoom. Please RSVP to receive the link.
